Well here it is finally, the video we've been working on, this was our very first play & the one that got us started.
It's based on a vision seen by the prophet John in the book of Revelations in the Bible, & describes these four mysterious horsemen who will ride in the time of the end.
This play depicts the struggle they will have over the hearts & minds of mankind.

Heya, here we are performing our play at St. Michael's catholic school. We've been working with St. Joseph's Catholic Church in South Oxhey to help with their Youth Alpha course, & we've been performing in different schools to promote the course & launch party.

The launch party will be at St. Joseph's 7pm Sunday, April 25th. Free food, drinks, DJ and live entertainment.

Symbols of Easter

Coloured eggs and rabbits are perhaps the most popular symbols of Easter, but we need look no further than the Easter story itself to find some more meaningful ones—and each has a story to tell.

I am the Bread. At the last supper the Master ate with His disciples before His death, He gave thanks and broke me, and shared me with them. "Take and eat," the Master said. "This is My body, which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of Me" (1 Corinthians 11:24). He was the Bread of Life, sent from Heaven by God to give life to the world (John 6:33). Earthly bread can sustain for a day, but whoever comes to Him shall never hunger. "Man does not live by bread alone" (Matthew 4:4). No, you need something more. That something is Jesus.

We were all touched and transformed by the Master. Let Him touch you today, and He will transform you too.

I am the Wine. After the bread, the Master poured me into a cup. "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you" (1 Corinthians 11:25), He told His disciples. Even though He knew He was about to die an excruciating death, His heart overflowed with selfless love for others—and it does to this day. He would have shed His blood for you alone, and He would do it all over again, just for you. He loves you that much!

I am the Scarlet Robe. Those who draped me over the Master's body did so in jest, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!" (Matthew 27:28-29). If only they had known how right they were!—And not King of the Jews only, but King of Heaven and earth, "King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light" (1 Timothy 6:15-16).

I am the Cross. There once was a tree that grew strong and tall over many years, only to be hewn down and carted off in a day. But instead of being held and shaped by a master carpenter into something useful but ordinary—a chair or a table or a door, perhaps—it was fashioned into a rough cross that held the carpenter Master (John 19:16-18). I was the tree that became that cross. I held Him as He died for the world—even for those who killed Him. I was made an instrument of death, but I became a symbol of God's unfathomable love and His gift of eternal life.

I am the Empty Tomb. I held His lifeless body for three days and three nights, but the grave could not contain Him. In the twinkling of an eye, with a blinding flash of light and a burst of power from on high, He conquered death—and not for Himself only, but for all who receive Him as their Savior.

I am the Garden. As dawn broke that first Easter Day, I was transformed from a place of mourning into a scene of great rejoicing when angels asked, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen!" (Matthew 28:2-6; Luke 24:4-6).

The Horsemen have been busy revamping and updating the plays ,costumes and props etc.Getting ready for the Spring/Summer witnessing.

We came out of hibernation to perform the plays for the Heads of a couple schools.
They liked us even though this is the first time we performed the plays with the new cast and updated version. It looks like we will perform for the pupils of the schools in the next few weeks which will be cool.

Sunday the 13th Dec we held a Christmas Open house. There was quite a big turn out and as they say "a good time was had by all."
Two different children s groups performed as well as our carolers, and there was a very funny "Good King Wenceslas " skit.There was also lots of festive food and drink, thanks to our various sponsors.

So sorry we have been so silent on here. Well what's new with us? Heather is now living in sunny Mexico .We miss her greatly but know she is happy there. We love you Heather!
The "4 horsemen" are in the barn so to speak. We are not performing so much on the streets now(Brrr) so its a good time to upgrade our props and work on our plays so we can be sharp and ready for the spring onslaught.
Oh and with Christmas around the corner we are busy witnessing and hopefully bring the real meaning of Christmas to all we meet.

Simon, we miss you more then you can possibly know. It's down to you that the dream and fledgling idea of the Four Horsemen was enacted - we couldn't have done it without your drive, vision and enthusiasm!
You and yours will be greatly missed.

Our team and the awesome friends who put us up (and even joined in on the fun)

Sooo...the Four Horsemen road team got back from a ten-day gig in Scotland on Monday, and it's taken me a whole week just to get some pix your way...

But I have prevailed :).

I didn't go on the road trip (which included a eight day stay in Edinburgh performing at the Fringe Festival and two days in Glasgow) but apparently it rocked! I've yet to twist the boys' arms and have them write up all the juice, so I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Of Updates and Soundtracks...

Well, what's been going on this end recently?

Sam's at summer camp in South Africa, so it's just as well Faye learned his lines (she got to put them into action last weekend in Kingston, woo hoo!). Cate's in Washington at the moment for a family reunion, so once we have our team back together, Edinburgh is a green light!

Thought I'd post the soundtrack to the Four Horsemen play here - and yes, that's the full, unabridged versions of the songs we use for the intro and fight scene!

Just a bit of background on these lyrics: The book of Revelations talks about four horsemen that represent different elements fighting for control of the world in the final days before Jesus' return. War, Death, Greed and the fourth horseman... Jesus of course (cuz he's the shizz :D).

And in this one, we hear the actual text quoted from Revelations about the Battle of Armageddon, in which the Lamb (Jesus) brings an army down from Heaven to kick the Beast (yeah that would be the big bad guy) back to hell and bring peace on Earth.

Been practicing a lot recently as there's a fair bit of role-swapping going on.
For example, Faye is being trained as Sammy's protege in the role of Death (that's right, all - another female horseman!).

Phil (a dear old friend who's become a temporary addition to the team) is donning Money's cloak...

All gearing up for a big road trip in Edinburgh this summer (still don't have those details for you guys, but bear with me! All will be revealed...once it's solidified that is. You know how temperamental men can be? Try four of'em with swords lol :P)...

Party in the Park!

A couple of us lent a helping hand at The Party in the Park in Uxbridge on the 26th of June.

We dolled ourselves up snazzily to match with the buoyancy of the sunny day (England's now flooded in the torrential rain that a few weeks of intense sunshine tends to bring around here) and face painted, crafted balloons and handed out colorful leaflets for Churches Together.

What with the rain and all (yep, the sunny weather's taken flight this end...hope it's better wherever you are), our team hasn't been as active on the streets over the past week or so.
BUT...we have done a good deed in the meantime - volunteering for a community clean-up project to try and clear some of the junk littering our lovely canal!

Inglorious? I think not! We merely swapped our theater costumes for yellow jackets and our props for awesome pick-up sticks and wallah!
We had a lot of fun despite the perpetual rain, working together with the organizers of the event. Some of us even got to use grappling hooks to fling into the water and drag stuff from the bottom (I was the only girl to try it and let me tell you, there was about two warehouses worth of clothing down there...disgusting).

We found all sorts of stuff, from random floating coconuts to empty gasoline containers and even a buggy. I think for me the biggest find was the realization that the environment is seriously going to hell - all of us have contributed to the massive amounts of waste at some point in our lives (yes, that empty gum wrapper DID count :P).

But it's also cool to know that there are people out there dedicated to trying to save what they can and make the environment a better place. Sort of like the way each of us decide to do a good deed even though it just seems like a drop in the bucket when everyone else around us is making the wrong decisions.

Just makes life...nicer, I guess. Certainly makes us feel better anyway! :D

Okay, I know a lot of people are going to be less then pleased with us for this (because we didn't give much forewarning), but it turns out...

We were actually in Swansea last Saturday!

...You guys...I can explain EVERYTHING *wrings hands nervously*.

Basically, the window of opportunity for a small team of us (Simon, me, Josh, Raph, Sam, Shaun and Bella) to hit the road opened very suddenly and we grabbed at it - so quickly in fact that time honestly didn't allow for me to sit down and write a blog post about it.

Finally managed to rustle up some snaps from our fantastic day in Leicester last weekend!

Yeah I know...I didn't say anything about it before. Didn't have any pics, is why :D.

Anyway, Josh, Sam, Shaun, me, Faye, Raph and Simon drove up to Leicester and met up with a crowd of lively teenagers (and our good old pal Caleb!).

It was pelting with rain but we're very determined, see, so we managed to perform at least three times regardless. It was a very triumphant afternoon, considering the opposition!

On Wednesday the 5th of April a team of 11 set out on the three hour journey from London to Wales.

In Cardiff’s town centre – for the first time – Cate took the place of Heather as the main character in the “Everything” Play!

The crowd received us with mixed reactions but the overall effect was smiling faces and thanks.

In Swansea the team had the best day of all, though we had limited rehearsal time we performed “Set Me Free” to a captivated audience - with no injuries or mistakes!

After performing a couple sets we enjoyed the company of some people who came up and borrowed our soundsystem to show off their hiphop dancing.

And towards the end of the day a few of us sat down in the street and talked with 5 young people, answering their various questions and laughing with them.

We returned home with a feeling of accomplishment and happiness that comes only from sharing the thing that makes you the most happy!

Thanks to friends Luke & Suzanne and family for letting us stay with them.

WALES 09 - SMF Debut

Kay, everybody! Here's the first of several posts we'll be sticking up on the 09 Wales Road Trip - because there's a lot of material to work with (which means loads and loads of pics). So keep your heads up for the installments :D.

Okay, so like I said there's a LOT to post up here, but we wanted to start with a tribute post to the Set Me Free skit's first ever street debut! *woo hoo*

So, without further ado, here it is in pictures....

Road team just got back last night after a three day Wales gig!

Cardiff and Swansea's walking streets were once again the scene of the Four Horsemen and Everything skits in action (this time with Cate as the lead role in Everything - score!).

Aaaaand...

The SET ME FREE SKIT also had its street debut! *claps and cheers*. Seriously! - Although the gang did tone it down a notch apparently (no backflipping on the concrete, hence no injuries :D).

I'll work on getting you all the pix as soon as I can get my hands on them. Also look out for Raph who will be posting a write-up here with all the scoop on the road trip sooner rather then later!

There is hardly anything that can be enjoyed in a hurry!-- A glass of wine, a walk, a talk, a ride, a view, a meal or an embrace!

GOD IS HARDLY EVER IN A HURRY! It takes Him time to make a baby, a flower, a tree, a sunset, or even a blade of grass. He is hardly ever in a hurry, UNLESS HE IS ANGRY! He hardly ever does anything suddenly--except Judgement!

Speed kills! Haste makes waste! Patience takes faith! If you're in a hurry, you miss things, lose things, forget things & wear out quickly.

If you go slow, you get there quicker--at least you get there. If you stop to LOOK before you LEAP, you may not HAVE to leap at all! A MISS is as good as a MILE!

In the army we had targets that moved, or were there just for a moment & then disappeared. Some were in such a hurry they got so excited their rifles waved around & they jerked the trigger so quick it jerked the whole rifle & caused them to miss the mark!

I took time to rest my elbow FIRMLY, hold my rifle SECURELY, aim ACCURATELY & SQUEEZE the trigger SLOWLY!

Rest in Jesus! Patience takes faith. Difficult times breed patience, because they COMPEL you to trust in God, to have faith in God for the outcome!

Sometimes people get very impatient with me, because I don't answer them immediately when they ask me a question. But it takes TIME to THINK & be sure you give the RIGHT ANSWER. Anybody can shoot off his mouth immediately, but is he really saying anything? Be slow to speak & slow to anger.

Go slow, take your time, you'll enjoy it more! You'll get more out of life.

So squeeze, don't jerk, or you'll miss the mark!

Finally back with updates in the form of all the media from our Four Horsemen afternoon in Uxbridge. Our team once again embraced new members (Marc and Etta, who teamed up to play Fashion). The Four Horsemen street play itself also returned for the first time in 2009! *whoop of triumph*.

We met up with Georgie and Elsie, two rocking chicks who we met during our previous stint in Uxbridge. (It was well fun seeing you girls again!)

Actually, these two need their own paragraph. They cheered us on faithfully even though they were freezing cold almost the entire afternoon, and even participated in the Everything play (as, yep, you guessed it; THE DRUNKS).

Reading Ramblings....

The team went to Reading last weekend (still working on getting more pix from that). We weren't able to perform on the street this time but we did meet up with some people at the hotel room we use there.

Mayhem ensued! LOL. Nah not really. I wasn't actually there, but I heard it was lots of fun! Josh and Sam teamed up to put on some hilarious short skits and there were games all around.

Back in Black...(and white)...

The Four Horsemen team took to the streets of Uxbridge last Saturday, in full form out of their winter hiatus to perform the Everything skit - that's right, stage make-up and all, people! :D

We had a host of new faces performing for the first time (Bella and Amber, who conjointly played the role of Fashion, Raph, who played Money, and Lani who joined Shaun as the happy go lucky drunken pair).

But it still went amazingly well. We got huge crowds each of the five times we performed that afternoon and met a slew of amazing people (Georgie, Elsie, Demi and everybody else - you guys rock!).

The most interesting event of our day would had to have been when we met two wonderfully wild girls who wanted to take part in the drama. And take part they did - as the drunks in the Everything skit. It was a little haphhazard and certainly not our finest performance (I fell down I don't know how many times), but it was lots of fun and made for a unique experience nonetheless.

Pix on the way soon, everybody, so please bear with me. I just got back from three days of childminding for my sister, and this video (drumroll) is the only thing I have for you so far. It's the performance with the two girls - not exactly Spielberg material but it's the first recording we have of our humble Everything play. Enjoy!

More Monkey Business!

Our team went to Reading on Thursday to flood the walking street with the Evolution comic we gave out in Central London. It was lots of fun, and later on in the afternoon we headed to a hotel room loaned to us by a friend along with some newcomers for a theoretical debate regarding Evolution! (grin).

Anyway, I won't bore you too much with the dialogue, but here's some eye candy for you all! :D

WE ALL NEED A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOUR! "A merry heart does good like medicine!" God created us with a sense of humour and the ability to laugh at things that are funny. So I'm sure He Himself has a sense of humour, especially when I look at some of the things and people He has created and the funny situations He lets them get into. Someone has said that a sense of humour is the ability to see the funny side of a serious situation and to laugh at things when they're not the way they ought to be.

THERE IS SUCH A THING AS BEING TOO SERIOUS AND TOO SOBER about some things and taking some things too seriously, especially yourself! The ability to laugh at yourself and your own silly mistakes is a great asset and helps keep you humble. But he who can't laugh at his own mistakes or take the mistakes of others with sense of humour either has too much pride or too severe a sense of life.

GOD INTENDED FOR US TO enjoy living and He has given us the ability, the senses and the environment to enjoy it, including Himself, and our main purpose in life, as Martin Luther said, is "to love God and enjoy Him forever!"

WE ALL NEED A GOOD LAUGH! Have a sense of humour! Keep humble with good humour! Laugh at yourself! Just don't let's overdo it, as there's a time for everything, as you pointed out. There's a time to laugh, and a time to weep--a time for everything.

BUT LET'S ALWAYS BE ABLE to smile through our tears--a ray of sunshine is even more beautiful in the midst of rain. Let's have a little more sunshine and laughter and not so much gloom and doom! Instead of giving them so much Hell, let's give them a little more Heaven! "Laugh and the world will laugh with you!--Cry, and you'll cry alone!"

THE WORLD KNOWS ENOUGH HELL! Let's show them a little more Heaven--"Love and laughter and peace ever after", and that today you can be free!

Valentine's II

That's right...more singing!

A few of us girls got together a repertoire of romantic songs from all the different eras of music.
We performed for a few Care Homes as well as the pubs and restaurants we sung for at Christmas.

They loved it! People were very touched by the music and it was great fun for all of us girls to get out and do something different (well, when you're part of a theater team, 'different' is relative, I guess :P).

Monkey Business...

(Breaking for Lunch: Tina, Faye, Cate, Heather, Sam, Lani, and Josh!)

On the 12th of Feb, 2009, our team hit the streets of central London to pay our own form of tribute to the Big Idea Exhibition in the National History Museum. We met up with some other volunteers at 12 in Trafalgar Square and, armed with about ten bags stuffed full of the brilliant comic booklet Evolve Now (will try and get this posted up soon...it's epic!).

Since the theme of the day was Evolution, we all came painted up as various animals (or with faces depicting our own versions of the stages of evolution, or in monkey suits - it was all good).

It was great fun, and after a few hours of distributing booklets and having very interesting discussions with random passers-by, our team moved on down to bombard the Natural History Museum itself! Gasp - I know; such daring!

Okay so most of us were outside it, waiting for the visitors attending the exhibition to come out so we could attack (uh...metaphorically :P).
The sun was out and the smiles were in great supply. All in all, it was a smashing day! We gave out around 2,560 booklets, prayed with twelve people to give Jesus a chance in their lives (always a good idea), and even got to catch some snow on our way home!

I don't have a whole lot of pictures together right now, but I'll post the ones I do have here and hopefully get the rest to you all later on! Take care!

Yes, one again it's the great frrreeze... (shivers). UK's experiencing a sudden cold front and today the world is silent. Trains and buses aren't running, streets are empty...the silence is golden.
Well...I give it five minutes before the snowballs start flying around *grin*

What's special about snow is that it's kind of like a big white blanket covering the world. Everything that was dirty or ugly is transformed into something white and glistening and beautiful.

They say that's what God's love is like in our lives - the clean white blanket that just covers everything that's bad and ugly and horrible.

All the things we hate about ourselves or our situations, that we wish other people didn't have to see - God's love just falls down like soft, beautiful snowflakes and blankets it all away, makes everything look clean again. Kinda cool, isn't it?

Plus, snow is just WAY too fun to play in ;).

Upcoming event: Darwin Day

Yeah, you read that right. Darwin Day is a global celebration held on or around Feb. 12, the birthday anniversary of evolutionary biologist Charles Darwin. This year marks the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth, so it's a big deal.

There'll be a lot of stuff going on downtown London, and the Four Horsemen team is gonna have a presence of its own *woo hoo*.

What're we going to do, you ask? Good question :D....

Well, I think the technical way to phrase it would be: we're going to represent the opposing theory. Because Evolution is still just a theory - one possible way that life on Earth could have come into existence.

At the end of the day, Evolution requires just as much faith as Christianity does. And that's sort of our theme of the day.

Anyway! The boys (Dee Jay, Sam, Josh and Simon) have got some hilarious skits lined up, and some of us girls have put together a comic dance (that's right, a dance)that we'll hopefully perform (if we're brave enough, lol).

So stay tuned, and if you happen to be downtown London on that day, look out for some crazy people in Monkey Suits! *Grin*

Great Brrritain seriously needs some sun!
The Four Horsemen team has been coaxed into temporary hibernation with the sub-zero temperatures hitting the UK right now. (Yeah there was snow everywhere but I didn't get any pics...no one was brave enough to get their picture taken...maybe it's cuz we've also been hit with the dreaded winter bug *GASP*!)
Anyway, on a happier note, Sam's family is back from vacation in Africa so things should start swinging again sooner rather then later.

Our caroling team spent some time over this last week paying special visits to some of our sponsors.

(Our local Honda Branch sponsored 50 GBPs worth of Christmas CDs for the residents of the Care Homes we performed at)

A lot of these very special people have only recently met us but helped our volunteer work regardless.

Seeing how appreciative our associates were for our taking the time to sing a few songs for them and drop off some small tokens of our thanks made me think.
Christmas is supposed to be about giving. But how often do so many of us keep what we have in the form of our time, love, patience, and resources for someone who's a relative stranger?

(Drinks and Co. contributed soft drinks for our monthly gatherings, as well as wine and beer for our volunteer Christmas party!)

Jesus came to Earth at Christmas to give us his entire life, and what did He ask in return? That we love Him and others. A lot of people claim to love God, but Jesus says that our love for Him is measured by the love we show to everybody else.

Everyone who helped us, whether it was big or small, showed me that Jesus still loves and cares for me. It was like a heads-up to say 'Hey, listen you; despite everything you feel you did or didn't do this year, I'm proud of you - and I think you're great.'

Christmas can be a lonely time for many people out there. I want to give Jesus the gift of 'me' this Christmas - by giving others my time and love, not just my friends but everybody who needs it.

Not So Silent Nights ...

Wow - it's been too long since an update on this thing. But December has been horrendously busy, sooo...where to start?
Okay, so for one, our caroling team (consisting of Tina, Liz (the mature voice of the choir :P), myself and Cate) have been hitting the Care Homes with our half-hour repertoire of carols. It's great fun but a lot of work...we go out, we sing them songs, we come home, then we go out again to carol door-to-door.
On the weekends, our troupe hits the London pubs - and that is a whole other experience in itself!

I have a few pics of our shows but none of us singing in the bars (sorry...but the cameras would likely be obscured with all the beer flying around lol).

So for now, enjoy these and oh yes, almost forgot...

Alright, so I lied. There's no mistletoe...not yet at any rate. But London has had both rain AND snow over November. And the Four Horsemen team has been brainstorming for Christmas action...because we get restless :(
Okay so that explains the picture at the beginning of this post. Yes, it's myself (Heather) and Tina. And yes - we're wearing Santa hats...and cloaks. SO?
Christmas starts early for our team, this year especially since some of us will be braving all possible mishaps to take the world's favorite carols to the houses, pubs and even care homes of London this Christmas!
Contrary to popular belief, Caroling is a dying art nowadays. Last year we did it and we had rough English pubcrawlers with misty eyes and comments to the tune of 'nobody does this anymore'.

The Hereford road trip was amazing and lots of fun! Our team of six (consisting of Josh, Simon, Sam, Heather, Faye, Mari and Sean...Sam's younger brother and up and coming stagestorm :P)spent Friday at Simon's rehearsing the new play as well as brushing up on Everything and Four Horsemen. Mari once again graciously donned the robes of Death while Sam embraced a new role as Money!

We arrived in Hereford on a grey but sun-shiny Saturday morning and drove to the small campground where the church members had rented us a lot for our caravan....
YES WE WENT CAMPING, PEOPLE!
I tragically don't have any pics of the trailer or the antics that squishing six people into a relatively small space would produce, but it was crazy and fun lol.
The event turned out to be a combination of three different churches in England and was being held that evening in a big, old fashioned Marquee on the grounds of the Herefordshire Food Fair! Check it out.

Inside the marquee, we got set up (they had a terrific stage going on, complete with dry ice and disco lights) and spent some time rehearsing on stage (I won't say how that went because I don't want to get dead :P). The event didn't start till 8 PM so we meandered through the food fair and took in some of the local sights (and tastes :D).

At 8, the gig kicked off. About 200 young people turned up for the event, including a very special Christian band from Bracknel called Ethos. Their members are all from the ages of 15 to 20 and they were the winners of the Battle of Bands competition last year. Their stuff rocked! They had the whole room moshing to their music in no time, and we traded off with them every few songs to perform one of our dramas.
Amazingly, all three plays went off without a hitch. The crowds loved it! We got cheers and hoots every time Jesus spoke and all the other Horsemen got loud boos when they gave their speeches, lol. The Everything skit wasn't foreign to some of the people there, but the ones we spoke with afterward said that ours was the best they'd ever seen (I think that might've been due to the fact that I was literally getting thrown around for real which they oohed and ahhed at, lol).

What really crunched was when it came time to perform the Set Me Free skit (that's now the official name of the Who Pulls the Strings skit). We were very nervous about doing it, but all the frantic prayers (God please help us do it right and I promise I'll stop yanking Sammy's chains so hard for fun)paid off and it was a roaring success! Well, by that I mean the crowd loved it and everyone oohed and ahhed again, especially at the very phsycial and risky fight scene at the end (which involves Josh versus just about everyone else in a battle for Sam's life...and there's no weapons in the picture ppl).

Just about everyone got hit (right hook to the jaw, kick in the chest, elbow in the neck, a hazardous flip over Josh's back which wasn;t controlled and had the crowd gasping as Faye went soaring head over heels and landed smack on her back...the crowd went WOW and Faye went Ow...very quietly of course lol).

Ethos came back on stage and rocked on, and the Horsemen ditched their costumes with relief and joined in on the moshing as the night rolled on (sorry, don't have any pictures of that either, and it's too bad, cuz Josh and Sam leaping around is a funny sight any day). The event wrapped up around eleven PM and we happily headed back to the trailer, bearing the numbing winter cold with new smiles on our faces as we quickly drifted off to dreamland...
Our gig with the actual church was at around ten thirty the next morning, so we were buzzed awake at seven thirty by the cheery sound of our alarms. We ate and got ready then drove off to the church, only to come to a horrible realization...
(dramatic music..) THE CLOCKS HAD CHANGED!
That's right. Daylight Saving was activated the night before and we'd actually gotten at six thirty AM (oooh yes...heads were going to roll...well...wires actually, once we attacked our alarm clocks for the injustice lol). So our team ended up with quite a wait on our hands.
At least they were kind enough to let us inside the church and show us to a nice, warm room a ways off where we could wait it out. The boys went a little stir-crazy after a while and an impromptu game of tennis-ball hockey (yes we invented it) commenced.

(What do you mean, we didn't have hockey sticks? The weapons did just fine...)

Ethos were there again to grace us all with a softer but just as awesome batch of songs before we were called up to perform. Again, we alternated with their band, although this time we just did the Four Horsemen and Everything skits (everyone was still nursing their wounds from the Set Me Free skit the night before, lol).

The congregation were very generous with their applause and their praise afterward when they approached us to talk. We were very privileged to have witnessed the sight of different christian groups in the UK coming together with a vision to offer their myriad of talents in aid of bettering the quality of life for their communities. We were especially impressed by Ethos and their youth group - a warm, lively bunch who made us feel at home with their welcoming and friendly antics (and their pizza :D) ...awww...

We bid everyone farewell around two PM and popped in on Frank (the wonderful man who made this all possible and invited us to the event - Frank, we love you and couldn't have done it without you!) who was still at the food fair before hitching up the trailer and heading home - tired, sore (in more then one place for some of us) and exhausted, but happy!

On the Road Again!

That's right - we're never satisfied...not even close...
In the words of D.B.Berg - "You've got to keep sacrificing, you've got to keep forsaking, you've got to keep fighting every day".

Our theatre team is back on the wheels this weekend, ready to take two days of performing at a christian venue by storm! Oh and did I mention that our repertoire has now been expanded to THREE PLAYS?

Yeah you read that right. The 'Who Pulls The Strings' play is just going to be undergoing some final tweaking and then it's ready to roll! There'll be pics and hopefully a clip coming next week so keep your head up for those, but until then, HERE'S SPOILERS FOR THE NEW SKIT:

The Four Horsemen go Morris in Reading!

Back again with updates on the awesome weekend we had!

On Saturday, our theatre team went to Reading to perform the Four Horsemen and Everything plays on it's noble walking streets.

When we first got there, it seemed to be progressing like a normal day: we met and talked to some nice people and did the plays in-between.

But after about 2 hours of being there, some Morris dancers came along and began performing near our spot. Well, we talked with them and decided on a kind of 'you go, we go thing', where they did a dance and then we did a play.

The result of this mutually beneficial deal was...:) We got a HUGE crowd and we got to do both plays. Things were on a comfortable roll, when all of a sudden...(drum-roll)...

After our impromptu bout of dancing (during which we all got a turn), we continued on with our day. Reading is an awesome place: we got to meet some really nice people who saw the plays, and all in all, it turned out to be a really great Saturday!

Aaaannd....WE ARE BACK!
Two smashing days in Wales and we have lived to tell the tale! (No that wasn't meant to rhyme, but since it does...:D). Our team was downsized considerably this time due to mitigating circumstances (the main one being that our dearly beloved Sam wasn't able to come along). So we set out with only a van-full of 7 - that's right, just seven of us went...and only for two days!
They were an amazing two days, though! On Thursday evening, our team (Heather, Dee Jay, Josh, Simon, Mari, Tina and Sam's eleven year-old sister Amanda) arrived in Cardiff and were out the next day performing the Four Horsemen play downtown. And while we're on that note.... (drumroll)...

MARI HAS OFFICIALLY BECOME THE FIRST EVER FEMALE HORSEMAN!

That's right. Mari (who normally plays the Drunk in the Everything skit) took up Death's scythe for the two days we were in Wales. And she did wonderfully - with everything from the lines to the fight scene (although there were a few bashed knuckles and bruises, but hey, hazards of the job, right?).

Oh and who played the Drunk, you ask? NO-ONE! But Tina did win the audience's heart (and lots of applause) when she came staggering out as a peace-loving druggie with a splif!

Saturday was Swansea day (woo hoo) and our black-and-white-painted team spent an awesome afternoon in the town center, where both the Four Horsemen and Everything skit made a comeback! Cate (who plays Vanity) wasn't able to come this time, so guess who took up the torch? Amanda! That's right, Amanda has officially become the youngest ever actor to perform in our street plays. And I'd just like to add that she did great - for those of you who've seen the Everything skit, you know Vanity is not the easiest role to play. But after only a couple of practice session, Amanda got up there and did the catwalk strut to perfection (complete with the pout, the sneer and the shoulder swivel lol).

So that's two records for us (First Female Horseman and Youngest Ever Actress). But the coolest part of the road trip was, of course, the awesome young people we got to meet! It was also great seeing a lot of you who we met last time in Swansea for a second time. You guys really made our day (BethAnn...I so did pronouce your name right this time around!) And also kudos to Bradley, Yoshi, Rorie and David (you guys are officially the first to have ever gotten down on your knees in the middle of the street to pray with me - I think I turned red and you guys got a great kick out of that one :P)

The only tragedy? WE DIDN'T BRING A CAMERA :((....sob sob. It was all a great big misunderstanding that resulted in our not being able to take anything but phone shots of all the amazing things that were packed into those two days. I'm working on getting those ones, but until I do, I'm afraid to say I don't have ANY pictures for you guys! But bear with me...

Whispers of a September Play ....

Hey everyone!

I know there aren't much updates at the moment, but bear with us :D. We're working our creative muses on the development of a NEW and EXCITING PLAY! Things are on the roll now and we'll no doubt be flooding the blog with pics of the new play debuting in all our favorite spots so KEEP A LOOK OUT for the Four Horsemen in your area.

Here's a little teaser :P - the title of the new play is ... (drumroll) ... WHO PULLS THE STRINGS (coming soon to a walking street near you)

Other then that, school's back in as I'm sure most of you know, which means that our dear Sam (Death) is now buckling down to a new term. BUT NEVER FEAR! The Grey Horsemen is still riding with us at the weekend, braving the winds and rain (yeah London is a bummer for September weather)!

Why Suffering - Part 2!

I promised it, so without further ado - here it is!

WHY SUFFERING? - PART 2...

At that point she was called away to attend to a customer, so that was the end of our conversation. But I was thinking later about how much of the World's suffering is not even caused by the DEVIL, and certainly not because GOD wants to be mean to people, but rather through MAN'S OWN FOOLISHNESS. Man is his own worst enemy!

Look at the suffering that Man has caused himself by continually fighting terrible wars in which millions have been killed or injured! Martin Luther (a Christian reformer who went loggerheads against the church of his day over ideas like salvation by grace, not needing to pay a bunch of useless fees, and sex not being a sin) called war "the greatest scourge that can afflict humanity; it destroys religion, it destroys states and it destroys families. Any scourge is preferable to it!"

But is GOD to blame for Man's wars? The Bible says, "What causes wars and fightings among you? Don't they come from your OWN LUSTS that battle inside you?"--James 4:1. God isn’t to blame for the suffering caused by war, but rather Man's own selfishness, greed, pride and competitive spirit--the destruction of others for greed or selfish gain--THIS causes wars!

And War isn’t the only thing – there’s also car accidents, which are actually an even greater cause of deaths today then wars! Can you imagine that? More people die every year from the vehicles WE invented then the wars we fight!

Far too many of Man's inventions, such as weapons of war, too-rapid transportation, towering skyscrapers, pesticides, lethal chemicals, drugs etc., are death-dealing and destructive and cause all sorts of suffering.

Problems like these are caused by MAN'S own foolishness over a number of years, often centuries! -- Problems which have steadily grown over successive generations. Can we really blame GOD for all the crap in the world today?

If we were to try to cover ALL the causes of suffering in this World, it would probably take a book! But I hope I've at least given you SOME answers to one of the great eternal questions of this life: "Why does God allow suffering?"

Because WE'VE brought it on OURSELVES! Though we can understand MANY of the reasons through reading God's Word and through prayer, we probably won't know ALL the answers to that question until we get Up There, as there are some things we won't understand until we see things as God sees them.

A very fitting illustration of this is the story of Doctor Handley Moule, when he visited a coal mine immediately after a terrible underground explosion. At the pit's mouth was a large crowd, among whom were the relatives of the trapped and suffering miners.

"It’s very difficult," he said, "for us to understand why God should let such an awful tragedy happen. But I have at home an old bookmarker given me by my Mother. It’s woven in silk, and when I look at the wrong side of it, I see nothing but a tangled mass of threads. It looks like a big mistake! You’d think someone had made it who didn’t know what she was doing.

But when I turn it over and look at the right side, I see there, beautifully embroidered, the letters, 'GOD IS LOVE!'"

"We are looking at this today," he continued, "from the wrong side! Someday we’ll view it from another standpoint and we will understand."

God ALWAYS has a purpose and a plan in suffering, even though we can't always see it right away!

Sometimes, "His ways are past finding out" (Romans 11:33), and we just have to TRUST God, knowing that whatever He does, He does it in LOVE, and that if we don't understand NOW, we will LATER!

I came across this article the other day, written by an awesome guy named David Berg. It answered a major question I had and one I get asked like literally every time I talk with someone about Jesus. Just thought I'd post it up here for those of you who've always wondered...

WHY SUFFERING?

I was talking to a pretty young travel agent the other day, and during the course of our conversation we began to talk about God.

"Oh, I don't believe in God!" she said. "If there is a God, why is there so much suffering in the World today?

“Why do thousands die of starvation every day in Africa? What kind of God would allow a terrible disease like AIDS to run rampant? Why was my best friend just crippled in an automobile accident?"

"Well," I replied, "you can't blame GOD for all the suffering in the World! He's not some kind of monster that enjoys making people suffer. It's not GOD Who causes all these things.

“ A lot of it is the evil work of a powerful being called Satan, or the Devil, and being called Satan, or the Devil, and he just loves to hurt Man and see him suffer!-- In fact, that's one of his main tactics to try to turn Man away from God. He tries to give GOD the blame for his OWN dirty deeds!"

The young lady was quiet for a moment as she pondered this, and then she shot back with the atheists' trump card question which they always try to stump Christians with!

"Well then, if there is a God, and He's ALL-POWERFUL, why doesn't He STOP the Devil and not allow him to cause all this suffering? Why does He ALLOW evil in the World? For example, why didn't He stop Hitler?"

"Well, that's a very good question!" I answered. "But you see, if God had put a stop to Hitler, He also would have to put a stop to YOU!--Because YOU'RE a sinner too, aren't you?

"I'm sure you're not as bad as Hitler, but we've ALL been bad sometimes, haven't we? The Bible says, `ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.'--Romans 3:23.

"So He would have had to stop everybody in the whole World from doing ANYthing bad! Right at the very beginning God would have had to step in and use FORCE to stop Adam and Eve from eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden.”

“He would have had to interfere with our FREE WILL and the majesty of PERSONAL CHOICE that He's given each of us to choose good or evil!"

"But wouldn't it have been BETTER if He had MADE us all to be good?" She challenged.

"If the Lord had wanted ROBOTS, yes He could have MADE everybody do good and love Him. But He made us with FREE choice and FREE will, so we could CHOOSE to love Him! You wouldn't enjoy YOUR children much if they were FORCED to love you, would you?” I questioned.

Puzzled, she replied, "Well no, but what does this have to do with suffering?"

I explained, "Because Man was put here to make a CHOICE between good and evil, between doing things GOD'S way or his OWN.”

Tales From Wales - The Swansea Scoop

Finally back with the story on Swansea - the city we hit on Saturday (and the last city our team went to in Wales). It was a brilliantly sunny day and lucky for us (with a lot of Divine intervention) it stayed that way for all the afternoon.
We really didn't know what to expect in Swansea and some of us were a little nervous, but also excited as we'd been repeatedly told to take our plays there by some of the Welsh young people we'd encountered. Well, after finding a spot at the far end of the walking street and striking up an act... we were in for an amazing afternoon!
There was a large gathering of young people just around the corner from where we were performing, and as the day progressed, more and more of them were drawn to the action. We were as happy to perform for them as they were to watch - the Swanseans (yes I know it's a made-up term...) were an awesome audience.
They were even better when it came to one-on-one and group discussions about the plays, their meanings and the message of Jesus' love. Our team spent the better part of the day in conversation with these very special people, exchanging hugs and email addresses (and taking lots and lots of pictures, hah).
All in all, we have to say that Swansea was an awesome experience for our team and well worth the time and effort! We prayed with lots of the young people there to receive Jesus into their hearts and we know He's going to do mind-blowing stuff in each of their lives now!
We ended our time up in Swansea with a trip to the beach, woofed down pizzas and coke (given complimentary by the local Pizza Hut - the manager was very kind! If you're ever in Swansea, go and eat there!) and those of us who were brave enough splashed around a bit! It was the perfect end to a perfect day! Enjoy the pics!

Tales from Wales - The Bridge End Basics

On Friday, our team traveled to Bridge End, a small town in Wales that has recently been victim to a rising number of suicides. We were very keen on performing there, especially the 'Everything' skit as it deals with a wide range of issues known to prompt depression. So, with rain clouds vying for space with patches of blue sky and the sun, we set up on the small walking street in Bridge End.
Our day there was as full of adventure as it was with mishaps....er... 'mishaps' being one confused, depressed woman interrupting the 'Everything' skit several times before eventually walking off with our prop gun. Fortunately, Melody, one of our team members, went after her and not only spent time with this woman talking about Jesus' love for her and giving her a hug, but she even managed to get the gun back!
Even though people were sparser then in Cardiff, we still found those who were interested in the plays and keen to discuss today's issues with us. Quite a few people prayed to accept Jesus into their hearts and some even left us with email addresses and asked us to please stay in touch. We were very thankful to have been given the opportunity to reach Bridge End with a message of hope!
As a final highlight to round off the day, we were requested to perform the Four Horsemen play for a group of young people who were hanging out at a fountain around the corner from where we were based! Wooden swords clashed and battle cries were yelled one last time in Bridge End aftter which we were able to spend some time with these awesome young people before heading home in the throes of a downpour of rain.

Tales from Wales - The Cardiff Chronicles

Well, everyone, here we are! Back after five, fun-filled days on the road in the 'land of the red dragon'...a.k.a Wales.
A team of twelve of us bunked down in Cardiff and hit their walking street as well as those of Bridge End and Swansea with the street plays and a message of Jesus' love and awesomeness, lol. It was amazing, to say the least. We're just going to talk about Cardiff in this post (two others about Bridge End and Swansea coming up, don't worry) due to an overabundance of content (well, there are an awful lot of pictures...I'm posting all my personal favorites here!)
We performed in Cardiff for two days, Wednesday and Thursday, and we loved it! The sun shone due to merciful Omnipotent intervention (it was supposed to be rainy) for the whole first day and we found a perfect spot on the busy walking street to perform the plays.
The young people in Cardiff were a great crowd - a good audience and even more interesting when we talk with them, either one-on-one or as a group. A lot of them prayed with us to ask Jesus into their hearts and were brave enough to give Him a chance in their lives despite all the crap they'd heard about 'religion'. (P.S: To any Cardiff-ites reading this post, you guys rock!).
The second day in Cardiff was wet and windy, which was awkward because the concrete was too slippery for a performance to be safe. But, despite the 'wet blanket' (literally) threatening to envelop us, our team (I tell you, those guys are such troopers. I was moaning the whole time about the weather) went ahead and gave out the Four Horsemen posters, reaching out to whoever was brave enough to stop! After about an hour, Jesus rewarded the faithful and the sun came out, which meant we were not able to stay out but also managed to do our plays for the rest of the afternoon!
We met some very special people in Cardiff and are so thankful we had an opportunity to take our shows (and Jesus) to that awesome city! Enjoy the pics!

A Sunday Funday!

Here we are, back with some snapshots from our gig at the RCCG church Event Day that took place on the 20th of July. Sorry there isn't much to behold... a little mishap occurred with our camera and the long and short of it is that its four-gig memory chip got corrupted (Okay so maybe it wasn't such a little mishap).
But after a little fishing around, miraculously we found some photos from that day so have posted them below for your enjoyment! As you can see it was a brilliantly sunny day, and the event took place in a community field with everything from a bouncy castle to sack races! The pastor and church members were wonderful and made us feel at home right away!
Our Four Horsemen team enjoyed the benefits of a delicious barbecue and a never-ending supply of cold drinks, then performed the 'Four Horsemen' and 'Everything' skits back-to-back right in the middle of the field for the whole crowd. (PS: Their sound system and mike equipment were AWESOME! Thank God for his mercy as it was real windy and some of us aren't as loud as we need to be, lol).

The plays went down very well with the audience, and to cap off an excellent afternoon, Jesus, War, Death and Greed docked off their costumes in favor of football jerseys and took to the field for a long-haul game of football with the church's teams.

All in all, it was an awesome day! We even got to help dish out food and paint some faces! (Good thing the church had a paint kit as our stage make-up doesn't really extend beyond the colors red, white and black).

Hey all!
Sorry for not updating more frequently! The YouthReach team has been insanely busy at the tail-end of this month with a flurry of changes and upheaval! Simon's in Pakistan at the moment on a business trip and the rest of us happen to be shoving everything we own into boxes and bags double-time.
Why, I see you asking? Uh because we're moving houses. Yep, that's right. We finally found a nice seven-bedroomed house in a decent location (Southall) which makes for drinks all around, wouldn't you say? Well...maybe at the housewarming party...which isn't gonna be for another week at least (groan). Oh well...it's worth it just to watch Death, Greed, War and Jesus packing kitchen stuff and cooking meals with plastic utensils..(check out the pic of Jesus getting down and floury with our in-house infant Collin...grin)
Oh well. God is good! It's pretty much an all-out miracle to find a house big enough for a team of our caliber, not to mention cheap enough for a team of our limited budget, hah!
Anyhow, on a different topic, the YouthReach theater team was requested to do a photo shoot in downtown Hemel on a bright and cheery Saturday afternoon. It was a fun and novel experience as we performed both the Four Horsemen and Everything skit quite a number of times (you know how picky photographers can be...'there's too much of a glare...do it again...quick while there's cloud cover...oh now it looks like rain, let's put the cameras away...' etc etc)
Just kidding :P. The camera guys were great! And so was the afternoon as we met with friends new and old (some of whom recognized us and some of whom didn't) in Hemel. And anyone who happened to miss our version of the Everything skit weren't let off the hook, since there was a church group down the walking street who were also performing their own rendition! Looks like Jesus really wanted to get the point across, lol!
Anyhow, when we have the photos, so will you - promise, cross our hearts! Till then, God bless ya all!

Kensborough and Reading

Back again, this time with photos from the performance at Kensbourough Family Church!
It was a very special morning, beginning at 10:00 sharp with an adult service, during which we performed the Everything play with usual gusto (one carpet burn and an elbow to the larynx were the extent of sustained injuries). The audience response was wonderful and everybody cheered as Jesus held the vices at bay!
Some of us then headed upstairs to participate in a lively repertoire of action songs for the children while the rest of our team was treated to a stirring sermon in the chapel.
At 1:00 we joined in on the youth group meeting Emerge and performed both the Four Horsemen and Everything skits, and received great reactions to both. Then Simon conducted an impromptu interview with our team on the subject of spreading the message of God's love your average person on the streets. The wonderful young people also had a number of questions for us and were very interested in our lifestyle! We hope to bale to work more with them to bring Jesus to England!
Yesterday we hit Reading YOC with the Everything skit and a simple, spontaneous repertoire of songs (even a duet with Heather and DeeJay, lol). The detainees expressed that the play was "moving and relatable" and were happy to talk about it's relevance afterwards as we split into cell discussion groups. Enjoy the pics and God bless!

Upcoming venues....

Introducing...

Just a short note to announce that our team is going to performing both the Four Horsemen skit and the Everything play at a church event this Sunday... so stay tuned for an upcoming post heralding the great success of the venture, lol.

Also, we had the privilege of doing the Four Horsemen play for some of the inmates at Reading Young Offender's Center (sorry, no cameras allowed inside the prison, otherwise I'm sure there would have been some very classic shots). This month, God willing, we'll debut the Everything skit at Reading YOC, so fingers crossed on that one!

In the Merry Month of May...

Wow..it's already May. Where have we been?? Sorry for not updating regularly, people! A lot's been going on with the Four Horsemen team recently so where should we start?
At the beginning. Right...well, we've been doing the Everything skit in all of our usual spots (Watford, Uxbridge etc) and a couple of weekends ago we hit Staines with both plays. It was a bit of a gamble as we'd never been there before and weren't sure about the crowd etc. But it went amazingly well, ,and despite the fact that a large market was in swing, we managed to find a spot to claim as our own.
The young people in Staines were a lively bunch and a lot of them were very interested in the messages portrayed in the plays. We were able to talk with quite a few of them about all sorts of topics regarding life, its perils and of course...how Jesus is the answer!
It was a very moving day for us - in more ways then one, hah! Anyway enjoy the accompanying pictures!

The "Everything" Skit!

Last Saturday we hit Hemel Hampstead with our new play - we call it the "Everything Skit"! It's a mime performed to the Lifehouse song "Everything", and though it's somewhat different from our Four Horsemen play, it was still a raging success! We performed it five times and the crowd really loved it! Just a post on the recent four day trip to Plymouth our team made this month…

Wow! It was so, so great to see you all again and we can’t wait for our next road trip back down!

It was good fun when we were there, reading the Bible and doing skits to act out the parables. We all enjoyed it, but the best thing was spending time with you people. It was really special!

Included are some pics of our stay there. Richard, Ash, Kate, Meghan, and everyone else we had the privilege of seeing again – you guys rock! We had so much fun and it was amazing seeing how much each of you have come along and hitting the streets of Plymouth with you all!

(By the way, to anyone who is wondering why Tina has a black eye in the pictures; she’d had a little football accident shortly before leaving for Plymouth, lol! All fine now, though, no worries!)

Trafalgar Square...

Here you can see us having a great time down in the heart of London ……..

We went down there with a lot of young people who will maybe want to do something similar…by the way, we’ve heard there are young people in Sweden and in Ukraine who may be copying what we do, having heard about it…neat huh Below (left) is Josh looking regal in front of the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square….

We did the play about five times there and had a really good response! Then we went to Downing Street where instead of acting war-like and like they really wanted to get in there and take over, the Four Horsemen just acted like some American tourists taking cheesy photos (See below right)…… shame …it would have been great to see War and Death fighting through London policeman and challenging Gordon Brown for his kingdom!

Then we went past the horseguards and War, Greed and Death looked very keen to get on the horse - after all …what’s the use of four horsemen who don’t have a horse? They had a word with the gentleman in red about it but for some reason, he didn’t want to lend it to them. (Below Left)

The Horsemen then went to the Houses Of Parliament- the very seat of power and important people. Although we knocked politely on the door, they wouldn’t let us in! What’s the world coming to? (Below Right)

Anyway, we had a great day out and met lots of very interesting people from all sorts of different places… and the young guys had a great time too as you can see below.

Christmas Angel vs The Grinch

Well, it's Christmas - that time of year which either brings out the Christmas Angel or the Grinch in millions of people worldwide!

It's that time of year when you begin to suspect there's an invisible hole in your wallet. It's also when you might convince yourself that each of the people on your gift list would be overjoyed to benefit from the five- for- a -pound sock deal at Primark.

I don't know what Christmas means for you. Maybe it's long-awaited excuse to kick back and party... on the other hand, maybe it's just another reminder of how alone you feel, how materialistic the world around you has become, and how much you realize you remind yourself of Ebenzer Scrooge.

You know, this may surprise you, but Christmas never used to be about wasting money on useless gifts, or being stuffed with more Tesco mince pies then you could ever hope to digest, or standing in massive queues for hours on end waiting to see 'Santa Claus'.

Christmas was, and still is, a magical time! It's the birthday of Jesus and the anniversary of the day when love, hope, joy and peace walked the earth in human form. It's about the miracle of God's love for us, and about turning around and giving that love to others in whatever way you can!

Christmas is all about the heart! So many people still think they can buy Christmas, but the only way to really feel that magic which you've always heard of but perhaps never experienced is to give Christmas away!

Try something new and tell Jesus 'happy birthday'! Stop and think of some gifts which you can give Him - things like showing love to others, forgiving those who've hurt you, stepping out to help someone in need.

It may sound unheard-of or a little too simple... but you should try it all the same! I guarantee you that you'll discover the warmth and magic and peace of Christmas as you do it!

The Horsemen at the Hilton!

Our group (The Family) held a Christmas celebration at the Hilton Metropole hotel on Edgeware Road! It was also the official launch of the charity Touchstone Projects, which is comprised of various members of our group who perform for detention centres and prisons all over the UK!

It was a really amazing experience, but one of the greatest things about it was the fact that we got to perform our Four Horsemen play live for an audience of over 200 people! We were all a little nervous, especially since it was on stage and we had to pass microphones, which can get a little complicated - hah! But all in all, it was a roaring success! People loved it and we got a super good response from the crowd... especially when the newly-updated fight sequence got into sway and War (Dee Jay) was flipped head over heels by Jesus (Josh)!

I (Heather) had never actually seen the play live and have to personally say how impressed I was with it! When being interviewed, I made an appeal for sponsorship so that we can take the play on the road even m0re! It would be so awesome and having experienced the power of the play myself, I'm convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that everyone, everywhere needs to see it!

The Four Horsemen - by Heather

Jesus is definitely the winner of this round- in fact, it's awesome to remember that He already won 2,007 years ago when He died on the cross for the sins of mankind! Satan's just a sour loser in denial!

Death has no meaning to anyone who has received Jesus' free gift of salvation- He promises us eternal life, so even though our frail human bodies will someday die, our spirits will live on in Heaven enjoying Jesus' love and peace forever!

Some people slave for Money for years and years, and they think that once they reach a certain goal, buy that dream house and pay off the Mercedes that they'll be satisifed. It never happens. They just want more, and Money has them chasing a carrot on a stick that they'll never sink their teeth into. Jesus promises us freedom from this bondage- he says 'I will provide all your needs accordng to My riches'- imagine the size of that bank account!

I remember a quote from the film Troy- 'War is old men talking and young men dying'. War is even more then that. War and Money work hand in hand (of course, Death doesn't do too badly either), because it's always about who gets what. That's the bottom line- selfishness and greed. No matter how heroic and glorious the media try to paint it, War is hideous and cruel. I can't wait until Jesus comes back to rule the Earth! He promises that 'There will be War no more'! Think of how wonderful that will be :) !

Goodbye, Steve! - by Heather

It's farewell to Steve (Money) and his girlfriend Olivia as they have now officially 'flown the coop' to parts unknown...well actually, they've gone to Turkey for the moment and will heading off to a Family centre im Lebanon to join Steve's relatives there! So Sam (who played death) has now taken up the torch of Money for the time being! Changes, changes, changes!

Oh yes! With Christmas coming up, the Horsemen team is going to adapting their play to 'suit the season' (which also means warmer costumes, hah!). We're also branching out to hopefully perform in various schools over Christmas, which makes for very exciting times, people!

But before I get carried away, let's remember to bid Steve a fond farewell and keep him in our prayers! We'll miss you, Steve! (Sniff, sniff)...
